My name is Brooklyn Kerr, and because of the pandemic, I left the practice of law to be an author full-time. It gave me the flexibility I needed to care for my son and senior pets. I've written multiple genres since beginning my writing career, including romantic suspense, romcom, holiday romance, contemporary romance, sports romance, and middle grade books.

I've written a romantic comedy before in my holiday novella, but this is my first contemporary romcom, full-length novel. Kate is a legal secretary who is going through a divorce of her own. She has twin girls, a dog with stomach problems, and a narcissistic soon-to-be ex-husband. Tucker lives across the street from Kate with his two kids, one the same age as Kate's twins. His daughter and Kate's play girls' basketball. While they've seen each other for years at games, noticed things from being neighbors, they never really knew each other until a water balloon brings them into the same space.
